No Man Wants to marry me, because of my beards but I am very sweet down there - Nigerian Woman cries out (Video)
In a video that has now gone viral across Nigerian social media, a young woman has poured out her heart about the painful reality she faces in her quest for love and acceptance. The woman, who is visibly emotional, claims that her beards have made it difficult for men to take her seriously when it comes to marriage, despite what she describes as having a “very sweet” nature where it truly matters.
> “No man wants to marry me because of my beards,” she lamented, tugging slightly at the visible facial hair on her chin. “But I am very sweet down there. Very sweet. They enjoy it, but they don’t stay.”
The woman, who says she has struggled with hormonal imbalance since her teenage years, explained that her condition causes her to grow coarse facial hair—something that has become a major stumbling block in her romantic life.
Despite numerous attempts to get rid of the beards through shaving, waxing, and even traditional remedies, she says the hairs keep growing back — stronger and thicker.
“I can love. I can care. I can cook. I can do everything a wife should do. But once they see the beard, they start calling me names like ‘man-woman,’ ‘Baba Lady,’ or even ‘Werey.’ It hurts,” she said.
She also revealed that some men still approach her for casual relationships and flings, praising her beauty, curves, and bedroom skills — but when the topic of commitment comes up, they ghost her or come up with excuses.
> “They say I’m too hairy. But they don’t complain when they’re enjoying me. It’s only when I ask where this is going that they start forming ‘it’s not you, it’s me,’” she added tearfully.
The clip has sparked intense debates online, with thousands of Nigerians sharing their views. While some users expressed sympathy and encouraged her to seek medical treatment and self-love, others cruelly mocked her appearance.
One user commented:
“Men be enjoying the sweetness but fear the commitment. The world is mad.”
Another wrote:
“Beard or no beard, if she has a good heart, she deserves love too.”
Experts say that women with excess facial hair may suffer from a condition called hirsutism, often linked to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or other hormonal imbalances. They advise seeking medical consultation rather than shame.
As for the woman in the video, she says she isn’t looking for pity — only understanding.
> “I just want to be loved for who I am. I didn’t choose to be this way. If you can look past the beard, you’ll see I’m gold inside.”
