Heartbreaking: Nigerian Man Apprehended After Beheading His Son for Money Ritual in Plateau State (Photos)


 In a chilling and heart-wrenching incident that has left residents of Plateau State in shock and disbelief, a man has been apprehended for the gruesome murder of his own son—an act allegedly committed for money ritual purposes.




The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday in the remote village of Kanke Local Government Area. Eyewitnesses say the man, identified as 42-year-old Bitrus Danladi, was caught trying to flee the community after committing the unthinkable act. According to sources within the village, suspicion arose when neighbors noticed a strange and foul odor emanating from the bush behind the suspect's home.


Upon investigation, locals made the horrifying discovery: the mutilated body of Danladi's 7-year-old son, buried in a shallow grave. The child’s head was missing.



Community members quickly alerted the authorities, and Danladi was arrested at a nearby motor park, reportedly waiting to board a vehicle out of the state. Under interrogation, he allegedly confessed to beheading his son for ritual purposes, claiming he was promised wealth by a native doctor if he could provide specific human body parts.
