Happening Live Hairdresser Rips off Hair From Woman’s Head After Her Boyfriend Failed To Transfer Money (Video)

In a bizarre and shocking incident that has gone viral across social media platforms, a video surfaced today showing a heated confrontation in a Lagos salon that took an unexpectedly violent turn.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman — whose identity is being withheld — had gone to the salon to install a high-end frontal wig estimated to cost around ₦80,000. The woman allegedly assured the hairdresser that her boyfriend would send the money immediately after the installation was completed.

The installation was flawless — edges laid, baby hairs sculpted, and the hair perfectly blended. But as the hours ticked by, the promised alert never came.

“I don send am your account,” the woman kept saying, her voice shaky as she tried to call her boyfriend for the third time. “He say he dey drive, he go send am once he park.”

But the hairdresser, identified only as Blessing, had heard that line too many times before.

“She don dey whine me since 2pm!” Blessing shouted in the video, visibly fuming. “This one no be love, na scam!”

In a shocking moment captured in the now-viral video, Blessing forcefully yanked the installed wig — along with the woman’s braided base — off her head, leaving her scalp visibly irritated and the entire salon in chaos.

Voices in the background can be heard gasping and shouting, “Jesus!” and “Ah ah, Blessing nooo!” as the woman collapsed in tears, clutching her now-bare head.

The video, which was posted to TikTok and later circulated on X (formerly Twitter), has sparked massive debate online. While some sympathize with the hairdresser — citing the rising number of customers who receive services and then ghost on payment — others have condemned the use of physical violence, especially over a financial dispute.

“Unprofessional and criminal,” one commenter wrote. “She should have called the police or held the woman until payment was made — not rip her hair out like that.”

Another said, “This is exactly why I always pay before my hair is done. Nigerian vendors don’t joke.”

Meanwhile, local authorities have not issued a formal statement, but sources say both parties may be invited for questioning.

This incident adds to a growing list of customer-vendor altercations in Nigeria that have gone viral, raising questions about trust, payment ethics, and professional conduct in informal service industries.

What are your thoughts? Should vendors resort to such extremes when scammed, or was this a clear case of going too far? Let us know in the comments.
