My b0yfriend poured A..cid on my face after i broke up with him - 20 Years Old Nigerian girl cries out (Video)

In a heart-wrenching video that has gone viral across social media platforms, a young Nigerian woman has shared the tragic story of how her former boyfriend disfigured her face with acid after she ended their relationship. The 20-year-old, whose name is being withheld for safety and privacy, is now calling for justice — and for the world to hear her voice.

💬 “I thought walking away was the brave thing to do…”

The young woman begins her story tearfully, recounting how what began as a “normal” relationship turned into a nightmare. “He used to be so sweet,” she says, eyes filled with pain. “But slowly, he became controlling, jealous, and angry whenever I made decisions for myself.”

According to her, she finally mustered the courage to walk away, hoping for peace. What she got instead was horror.

> “I told him it was over. I just wanted to focus on my life and move on. I never imagined he could do something so evil.”

☠️ The Attack

Just a few days after the breakup, she says he lured her out under the guise of wanting to return some of her belongings. It was there that he committed the unthinkable — splashing acid on her face, forever changing her life.

> “The pain was like fire eating my skin. I screamed and fell to the ground. People ran, some helped, some just watched. I couldn’t see. I thought I was going to die.”

Photos and video clips show the extent of the injuries: severe burns on her face and neck, skin grafts, bandages, and scars that will last a lifetime.

🚨 A Call for Justice

The young woman is now recovering in a hospital, supported by family, NGOs, and strangers who have been moved by her story. But she is not just healing — she is speaking out.

> “I want him to be arrested. I want him to feel the pain he caused. I want every girl to know that if a man shows signs of violence or control, leave before it’s too late.”

She also wants the government and authorities to take acid violence seriously in Nigeria, where such cases are often ignored or not prosecuted swiftly.

💡 Why This Matters

Acid attacks are a growing but underreported form of gender-based violence in Nigeria and across the world. Most victims are women, and many never receive justice. Survivors often live with disfigurement, trauma, and stigma.

This 20-year-old’s courage to speak out could become a turning point — not only in her own journey but for other women who suffer in silence.

🚨 If you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship, speak up. Walk away. Seek help. And most importantly, remember: no one has the right to hurt you — ever.
