So Sad: Nigerian Woman Arrested for Allegedly Burning the Two Hands of Her 10-Year-Old Maid in a Charcoal Pot for Stealing Meat from Her Pot (Photos)
In a deeply disturbing case of child abuse, a Nigerian woman has been arrested for allegedly inflicting severe burns on her 10-year-old maid by placing her hands into a burning charcoal pot. The shocking incident reportedly took place in [insert location, e.g., Enugu State], drawing outrage from both the local community and social media users across the country.
According to eyewitnesses and preliminary police reports, the young girl was accused of stealing a piece of meat from the woman’s cooking pot. As punishment, the woman allegedly forced the child's hands into a pot of hot charcoal, causing horrifying burns and permanent damage to the girl’s skin.
Graphic photos that have since gone viral on social media show the child's badly burned hands, wrapped in bandages and visibly swollen. Many who saw the images expressed horror and disbelief at the inhumanity of the act.
